The Eagan Men's Chorus welcomes you
to the Big Sing 2009
of the AMCA Upper Midwest District!
Friday April 24 and Saturday April 25.

[Please note Only the Saturday Evening Big Sing Concert is open to the public.]
Friday Evening - [Friday Solos Updates]
• The Big Sing weekend will begin with the Adjudicated Recital at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd, in Eagan. See Area Map.
• Each chorus will perform two songs of contrasting styles, with total duration on stage not to exceed 8 minutes.
• After performing, each chorus will meet with one of the four adjudicators for a 15 minute session of suggestions and commentary.
• Choruses should submit their selections with Title, Composer/Arranger, Publisher and Ordering # of their selections no later than February 15 2009 to Paul Carlton or mailed to 4210 Heine Strasse, Eagan, MN 55122.
• Click for the CHORUS INPUT Form. In the past, certain selections have been performed by more than one chorus. This is discouraged although not strictly forbidden. Choruses submitting a duplicate selection will be requested to change.

Saturday Morning Men's Activities
• Saturday morning activities will start at 8 a.m. with coffee and rolls at St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

Saturday Morning Ladies Breakfast and Style Show
• Starting at 8:30 the wives of the Eagan Men's Chorus will host a Breakfast and Style Show at the Eagan Community Center, 1501 Central Pkwy. See Area Map. This event is being held early to allow time to visit other attractions in the Twin Cities area.
• In addition to the obvious attraction, the Mall of America, the Minnesota History Center and the Minnesota Zoo are being arranged.

Lunch (11:30 - 1:30)
• A catered men's lunch will not be provided this year.
• A luncheon will be provided for directors and accompanists at the Southview Country Club. Cost for this luncheon is $15. See Area Map.
• Click for a list of available restaurants conveniently located along the route from St John Neumann to Inver Hills Community College.
Saturday Afternoon Big Sing Rehearsal
• The Big Sing Concert rehearsal will start at 1:30 pm at the Inver Hills Community College campus, 2500 80th St E in Inver Grove Heights, MN, located immediately southeast of the intersection of State Hwy 52 and 80th St. See Area Map.
• The concert will be in the Activity Arena. See Campus Map. There will be reserved parking areas for handicapped individuals and also for buses. Watch for signs to designated parking areas after entering the campus grounds.
• The Massed Chorus Numbers and Saturday Solo Selections are posted. Solo selections should be submitted to Paul Carlton no later than January 30, 2009. No duplicate solos will be permitted, so the first chorus to submit a song will be the one to perform it. Choruses submitting a duplicate song will be directed to submit an alternate selection.
Saturday Evening BIG SING Concert - [Saturday Solos Updates]
• The Big Sing Concert will start at 7:00 p.m.
• Pre-Concert entertainment will commence at 6:30.
• There will be no Grand March.
• Choruses are requested to be in their assigned seats by 6:45.
This is a ticketed event and is open to the public. Tickets will be available both in advance and at the door. Prices are $15 per adult, $5 per student, and Group rate $10 per person. Participating choruses will purchase concert tickets in advance for spouses and families at the group rate. These tickets will be available at the UMW spring district meeting on March 28, 2009.

Saturday Evening Afterglow
• The Afterglow will be held immediately following the concert at Inver Grove Veterans Hall and Community Center, 8055 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights. See Area Map.
• This is a ticketed event for members and spouses only. Tickets are $15 per person. Beverage tickets will be sold separately.
