Gentlemen (and Ladies)

It has been brought to my attention that I have been remiss in my "assignment" of responsibilities as they concern the "areas of action" called for at the conclusion of our Milwaukee meeting. Those areas are

  1. Development of a recruitment package - a data base of potential member choruses to contact for membership.
  2. Committee to form links with non-member male chorus organizations to create a larger publishiing market base to encourage publishers to publish more music for male voices.
  3. Committee to form a network of AMCA reviewers to bring more reviews to our members.
  4. Committee of "grant writers" to raise funds for special projects.
  5. Committee to examine what makes a successful singing group and share these "Keys to Success" with our current membership.
  6. A network of additional Chorister reporters.
My omission of assigning these duties sooner is regrettable and my only excuse would be: "that I really did not understand the process and how it was to proceed!" I assumed (never a good thing) that those in attendence at the International Meeting would take the leadershiip roles in contacting the volunteers from the membership survey.

If you are willing to assume a leadership role and contact those who have volunteered I would appreciate hearing from you. We would need some positive feedback for the International meeting to be held in June, 2002. It is my sincere hope that some will come forward with worthwhile information for that meeting!

We haven't had a positive response on the replacement of of Web Master to date and I sincerely hope that lack of response isn't an indication to what I will hear regarding this matter. I know that the time is short but not impossible to complete. Let me hear from you.
