Dick,
Good news! We are in the process of getting the John R. Armstrong Performing Arts Center for Saturday, April 30, 2005 under contract for the 2005 GLMCA District Sing. This should be completed by next week. The auditorium is only three years old, has seating for 996, and is located at M59 and Gratiot Road in northeast part of metro Detroit. The concert will start at 7 PM, and rehearsals will start at 9 AM. We will be sending out a packet of info before the end of the year.

Taken From District Minutes

2005 District Sing - Dearborn (Gentlemen Songsters)

Jake Jacobson reported that the date will be April 30 and the venue will be the Ford Community Center for the Performing Arts in Clinton Township. The afterglow will be held at the same location.
They have invited 5 Ontario District choruses to participate, but their District Sing is also on that date.
Jake asked if it would be okay to ask other choruses or Districts to participate. Unanimous support for this.

CHANGED: The date was originally set as April 30 but I received an email from Jake Jacobson (Mar 2004) indicating the date had changed. Other choruses from NYP district are being invited to participate on April 23, 2005.
