Comments: I am pleased to announce that Donald W. Crouch has accepted the AMCA Board Appointed positions of Music Reviewer and Music Composition Contest. Don's experience with male chorus literature, his director experience with adult male choirs and his relationship with many publishers make Don an outstanding choice to fill these two positions.

Topic: Two New Directors
Comments: New directors have been selected at Milwaukee and South St. Paul. Don Crouch, former Milwaukee Male Chorus Director, moved to Minnesota and was contacted by the South St. Paul Male Chorus to replace their director. The Milwaukee Male Chorus had to replace their long-time director, Don Crouch, and selected Rob Clark. Contact information for these people can be located in the AMCA Directory and/or in the AMCA Online Database.

Topic: Twin Cities Choruses
Comments: Upper Mid-West Twin Cities Choruses:
I will be moving from Kenosha to Minnetonka sometime this spring -- probably mid-May. I would appreciate any information on a male chorus looking for a director. I would like to stay with an AMCA chorus, but would consider others. I would also be willing to be a substitute director if a chorus needs one.
Also, I would like to know if there are any openings for a senior choir director in an ELCA Lutheran Church. I have directed in other denominations, but would prefer ELCA. My experience has also been in the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church (and two high schools), the Episcopal Church, and the Methodist Church. Also -- I might be dreaming -- but it would be nice to be close to Minnetonka as I find the Minneapolis drivers to be absolutely wild! (I would rather drive in downtown Chicago!)
I don't like losing my ties to AMCA, so if you know of any opening for a director I would greatly apreciate being able to audition. And remember to keep singing and give yourself a brighter day.

Topic: Don Crouch has resigned
Comments: With the resignation of Don Crouch from his AMCA International positions (for personal reasons), this area (music reviews) of AMCA is in a state of change. I am not sure if someone will be appointed to fill the same positions that Don Crouch held or if the positions will change or be combined in some way. I guess we will have to wait for any future information from the AMCA International leadership about this (probably following the Spring International Board Meeting - when/if that happens).

Comments: Don Crouch has assumed leadership for the combined Music Reviewer and Common Repertoire positions (now called Music Committee, I believe) and has submitted an outline for of his plan for work in this area. See the minutes of the June 12, 2004 Board Meeting in Milwaukee for details.
