Our Best Wishes To AllOur Glee Club has just finished the Christmas rounds for this year, we have a party to do next week for ourselves. There is always some relief to get to this point in the fiscal year of our chorus. The next real rehearsal we start doing the music for our annual fund raising concert (The Spring Sing) and all the excitement around it. We may have engagements along the way, but the vast majority of our energy goes to the event. Getting to new music is always a mix - is this going to be fun, is it good music after we polish it up, and can we use it later (keep it around)?? - it sometimes is difficult to gauge and what you may expect can change after you have learned the music well enough to perform. Most other districts have somewhat that pace because they hold their District Big Sing in the spring, while NYP holds it in the fall. So while we are in the midst of our fiscal year it is good to have a break. On behalf of the Executive Council and all the officers of our Association I wish every member a very Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah to our Jewish friends and the finest of warm wishes to all for your family and friends. May you also encounter a great New Year filled with promise and fulfillment, and blessings of serene happiness. impressively fitting.
