I have sent the Executive Council my Resignation from the office of Chairman as of the 2nd of April, last (2008). I made the announcement early enough for the men to arrange changes prior to their meeting on the 25th. As of now, and at least until the meeting, Ron Stenzel will ascend to the Chair.
I find it pretentious to conduct the business of the Association while not knowing if my own NYP District is remaining supportive. I don't feel I can strive to guide districts hundreds of miles away when I have not secured commitment from NYP District. I will remain at that task until I find no further will in local choruses to organize; however, I shall do so as the NYP President.
I wish to thank all who passed along well wishes, commendations and cheers when they met me at various meetings during District Big Sings. These pat-on-the-backs, atta-boys and other well-wishes mean a bundle of good when you think folks aren't paying much attention. I am regretful I failed to get more members involved as I am sure many more leaders are available for resources, but I was privileged to have worked with you all.
I believe there can be great value in this Association with dedicated people serving all functions. Please accept my humble thanks for the opportunity to serve.
